Our Story

Abie Vegetable People was founded in 2010 by Mark Roh on his family farm in Abie, Nebraska.  AVP started on 3/4 of an acre, growing a variety of vegetables for farmer's markets.  Today AVP produce is grown on 25 acres, specializing in green beans, salad mix, kale, onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms for wholesale, restaurants, grocery stores and individuals.  AVP is dedicated to providing fresh, local, sustainable food to the community.

As well as owning Abie Vegetable People, Mark also co-founded Lone Tree Foods and has always had a vision of connecting small farms to local Nebraska restaurants and grocery stores and consumer sales.

Mark lives in Abie, Nebraska with his wife Erin, and their two children, Roman and Silvia.
