Butter Bath Corn (aka Milk Boiled Corn)

Some of you may be skeptical about this recipe, but if you want to get the best corn on the cob experience, you have to try this technique! The broth brings tons of savory flavor, while the milk does an incredible job of bringing out the natural sweetness of the corn. Truly a game-changer!

Butter Bath Corn (6 servings)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth

  • 2 Tablespoons salt

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 6 ears corn, shucked

Directions

  1. In a large stock pot, pour in the water, broth, and salt. Bring to boil over high heat.

  2. Reduce heat to medium, then add milk and butter. Stir until butter is melted

  3. Add the corn, cover and cook for 6-8 minutes.

  4. When corn is cooked, remove from the pot, brush on additional butter if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
